“Want to close the store in the middle of the day? Set the timeslot capacity to 0 when the store is closed, this will disable those timeslots when preordering”.
Ordin allows stores to control the volume of incoming orders with timeslots and capacities.
When using timeslots, it’s possible to close timeslots manually via the Ordin Store Display.
The store can decide on the duration of the timeslots. It is possible (optional) to define the max capacity that can be processed by each timeslot.
Capacity is an abstract value that can be used to track how busy the store is. “Capacity to produce” can be defined on those products that require preparation as a measure of how much work/time it takes to produce. “Capacity available” can be defined for each timeslot as a measure of how much work/time is available to produce for each timeslot.
When configured, Ordin is able to understand the volume of incoming preorders and manually close down timeslots for preordering if it gets too busy.
If the capacity per hour is set to 40 and each timeslot is 15 minutes, then each timeslot will have a capacity of 10. If a product requires a capacity of 2 and an order is placed with two of these products, then the order will require a total capacity of 4. This will be deducted from the relevant timeslots available capacity resulting in 6 capacity being left on the timeslot.
Navigate to the store settings and select the Timeslots tab. To use timeslots check the first box and select the desired Timeslot duration. If you don’t need timeslots to close automatically then you don’t need to enable capacity.
If you want to set a max capacity for specific periods of the day, you can either update the default range that covers the entire day, or insert more ranges by clicking the + icon to the right af the day of the week for which you want to apply the capacity.
If you want to set a max capacity of after 16:00 you can add a range which these setting.
And if you want to remove the capacity again, say after 20:00, you insert another range with no capacity. You can remove the capacity by clicking the cross next to the textbox.
To define the capacity required to prepare a product navigate to the product in Ordin and set the value as shown above.
